The Moon holds Helium-3, gold, and rare earths, with 100+ companies racing to mine them. But is lunar mining truly viable, and when is the right time for VCs to bet on it? π
Market volume of precious metals worldwide is about 45,000 tons. While our point on lunar mining case is optimistic, I don't think that its scale of operations will significantly impact market prices anytime soon.
Helium-3 is a different story, though. Hard to predict that.
This explains EVERYTHING! πππ½ππ½ππ½π«π«π«
A very comprehensive analysis of the potential of the lunar economy, from a trusted team. Thanks for sharing!
Thx! For the analysis. I'm curious if you've estimated the impact on process from the mining itself?
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't quite understand the question - what do you mean by the impact on process?
If it's about adapting raw materials processing tech for the Moon, we didn't estimate that separately
Darnit typo: impact on prices!! I.e. as these rare elements become common what happens to their prices...

Y I wasn't thinking about the aggregate but about the specific metal by metal prices for the rare ones where it makes sense to ship them back to earth
